Has your ford transit remote stopped working? It’s more common than you might think.
Between 2006 and 2014 ford tried a new style key on their ford transit vans. This key is characterised by its distinctive blue colour. This key fob is a sealed unit that is designed to charge while inserted into the ignition.
Unfortunately this self charging design was flawed and when the battery failed, rather than replacing the battery the whole remote had to be replaced.
Ford were aware of this problem and were offering free replacement keys for a time, but now the recall has ended and ford charge up to £250 for a replacement key.
If your Ford Transit key has stopped working, rather than taking your van into ford and losing a day’s work, give Key Trouble a call and we will come out to you and program a brand new replacement key at a fraction of the price!
